Anning Class

Welcome To Anning

Years 3 and 4 (Lower Key Stage 2)

Teacher: Mrs Hardy Teaching Assistants: Miss Jones, Mrs Brooks, Mrs Searing & Miss Brewster

Anning Class is a place where curiosity, confidence and independence continue to grow. As children move further up the school, we focus on developing strong skills in reading, writing and mathematics, while encouraging resilience, teamwork and independence so pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education.

Our class is named after Mary Anning, the first female fossil hunter and palaeontologist. In Anning Class, we encourage children to be curious about the world around them, ask questions and develop confidence in their own ideas and abilities.

Learning in Anning Class is active, supportive and engaging. We celebrate effort as much as achievement and believe that mistakes are an important part of learning. Our classroom is a place where children feel safe to challenge themselves, take pride in their work, and grow in confidence as learners, whilst also enjoying themselves and having fun along the way.

Mrs Hardy says:

"I love teaching Anning Class because the children make me proud with their hard work, humour and the way they support each other. Watching their confidence and independence grow over the year is the best part of my job."
