Early Years children shine in Angel Express

The festive spirit was alive at Theddlethorpe Academy as the Early Years children proudly presented their Nativity performance, Angel Express.

Angel Express follows the excitement of heaven’s host of angels as they hurriedly practice a new song to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus, whilst dealing with lots of breaking news headlines to distract them.

The production featured Dolly and Leo as Mary and Joseph, with their trusty donkey played by Oakley. The cast was completed by innkeepers, kings, shepherds, a shining star, and of course, the angels. Every child participated with confidence, bringing their character to life and helping to tell the story in a fun and engaging way.

The audience of parents and families was treated to beautiful singing and clear, confident lines from all of the children. Staff were incredibly proud of the youngest members of the school for their teamwork, enthusiasm, and festive spirit.

Early Years teacher Miss Marrows shared her pride, saying: “The children have worked so hard to learn the songs and their lines, and they were absolutely wonderful to watch. They showed so much confidence and enjoyed performing for their families, which made it a very special occasion.”

Principal Mrs Clarke also praised the children’s efforts, adding: “Our Early Years Nativity was a joyful celebration and a lovely reminder of the magic of Christmas. The children did an amazing job, and it was wonderful to see families come together to support and celebrate their achievements.”

The performance of Angel Express was a heart-warming and memorable way to begin the festive season at Theddlethorpe Academy, showcasing the creativity and confidence of the school’s youngest pupils.
