Theddlethorpe Academy recognised among the very best nationally

We are incredibly proud to share that Theddlethorpe Academy has received a letter of congratulations from the Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, recognising the outstanding outcomes achieved by our disadvantaged pupils at the end of the 2024/25 academic year.

In her letter, the Secretary of State praised the school’s performance, noting that our results place Theddlethorpe Academy among the very best nationally. She described this as a “significant achievement” and highlighted the dedication of our staff alongside the hard work, ambition and commitment shown by our pupils.

The letter recognises that these outcomes reflect a strong focus on ensuring every child is given the best possible opportunities to succeed, regardless of background. It also acknowledges the high expectations we hold for all pupils and the inclusive approach that underpins everything we do as a school.

As part of this recognition, Theddlethorpe Academy has been encouraged to continue sharing its effective practice with other schools, helping to raise standards more widely across the education sector. This includes working collaboratively with other schools, contributing to professional networks, and continuing to place disadvantaged pupils at the heart of our work.

Principal Rachel Clarke said: “We are extremely proud of our pupils and staff. This recognition reflects the daily commitment of our team and the determination of our children to do their very best. We remain fully committed to sustaining excellence and ensuring that every child at Theddlethorpe Academy can thrive.”

Martin Brown, CEO of Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust, said: “We are immensely proud of Theddlethorpe Academy and its exceptional team. This recognition reflects the dedication of staff and the hard work of every pupil, and demonstrates what can be achieved when ambition and commitment come together.”

Andrew Clark, Executive Principal of Primary Academies, added: “Theddlethorpe Academy exemplifies excellence in our primary schools. The achievements of our pupils, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, show the impact of high expectations, dedicated teaching, and a nurturing learning environment.”

We would like to thank our staff, pupils, families and wider community for their continued support. This achievement belongs to everyone who contributes to making Theddlethorpe Academy such a positive and aspirational place to learn.
