Theddlethorpe Success!

As our autumn term begins, we are delighted to share some of the biggest successes that we have had from our students last term.
Phonics
Theddlethorpe Academy has achieved their highest phonics screening check pass rate for Year 1 to date.
We are also celebrating that all of our Year 2 pupils who undertook the phonics screening check, passed with flying colours.
The classes used Little Wandle as their scheme and have had support from the English Hub with their phonics and reading over the past 4 years.
This means that Theddlethorpe Academy have achieved the highest pass rate across all Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust primary schools.
Principal Rachel Clarke said: “We are extremely proud of these results from our now Year 2 and 3s. It gives me great pride to say that our children have produced the highest result rates across the trust and we aim to ensure that the good grades will continue this year.

Reception
Last year, 100% of the children in Reception class achieved a ‘good level of development’, meaning that all children have not only hit the early learning goals in the first twelve areas of learning, but for all seventeen areas of learning.
This is the highest achieving year group since Theddlethorpe joined Lincolnshire Gateway Academies Trust in 2016. We now have exceeding national and regional averages for our pupils.
Principal Rachel Clarke said: “Our Reception class did incredibly well to achieve their good level of development and the fact that every pupil in the class did so well is a bonus. These children have now moved up to Year 1 and we hope to see their hard work reflected in the new term and new school year.”
